Kao Ping-Kan The name means literally leaning mount. It is really a huge rock split in two; the smaller half has slid down and the remaining one appears now to be leaning. Though Kao Ping-kan is a very small island, Kao Tapoo or James Bond Island, is in a little bay of Kao Ping-Kan where visiting boats pull up. Tapoo means nail, and this shore less rock projects up from the sea as its name implies; flat and wide at the top, and very narrow at waterline. It is a striking sight. And the island became more famous after the James Bond adventure, The Man with the Golden Gun, was partly filmed here.

Pick up from your hotel for transfer by aircon mini-bus to Suwanakuha Temple. |

Arrive to Suwanakuha Temple and Monkey cave. Enjoy feeding the local monkeys and seeing the sleeping Buddah in the cave! |

Boat leave from Surakul Pier and take longtail boat to Floating canoeing center where you will have a personal tour guide paddle you travel through Talu Cave and surrounding mangrove forests. The mangrove forest is unique transition zone between marine and terrestrial environment

Depart floating canoe center by longtail boat to Khoa Papu (James Bong Island) National Park, and also visit sights of Khao Phing Kan. While there you will have time to relax and walk around to see the renown 'James Bond Island' so call because a scene form the movie 'The Man With The Golden Gun' was filmed here. This spectacular tall island stands in front of Khao Phing Kan. It's broad peak and narrow base gives the strange appearance of a spike driven into the sea. Enjoyable Khao Phing Kan This gigantic cliff appears to be cloven in two, enjoy a delicious lunch at the beautiful "Koh Pannyi" Floating village. the two halves supported by leaning against each other offers a sight of rare and exquisite beauty. |
